(10 Out of 10) Stanley Kubricks’ Dr Strangelove (1964) takes a bit to get through its setup, but once it gets to its dark-comedy it’s a firecracker. Full of wit and commentary on cold war tensions, the film does not point the finger at any one side, but both of them. Obviously a satire, the film’s anti-Cold War, can’t-we-all-just-get-along philosophy is very forward thinking, idealist, and true.

An often overlooked genius scene of the great Peter Sellers, in the somewhat cock-eyed masterpiece of Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove.
