Was one of the lucky ones to see this in the theatre. And after the first viewing the movie really leaves you Punch Drunk and in love. P.T. Anderson is truly a remarkable director.

Adam Sandler is a very versitile actor and really shows it here in this over rated movie. He should keep to making funny faces and getting felt up by Alec Baldwin.

I totally missed this movie at the theatres but a friend brought me a copy to watch. I was not expecting to enjoy the movie as much as I did. It has a unique twist on the same ole same ole love story. In a way it reminds me of the much later released. Once. I'll have to think about why...Sandler floored me with his performance. Understated but very believable.

one of the very few movies i have seen three times in the theater. i was so overwhelmed by the originality and emotion of this film i went back twice for more. it was after the third viewing, while walking on campus, a thought occurred to me--at the record stores and in students apartments a common image posted on the walls was tony montana, the protagonist of scarface. although i am a fan of that movie and pacino's performance, i wondered why you don't see barry egan hangin up, or similar characters. i'd venture to say that most displaying scarface have more in common with egan than montana. maybe that is part of the reason you don't see the likeness of egan, not many people would want to admit to similarities, especially college students. but that is why i love that character so much, he seems so human and sandler nails it. one of my favorite characters in all of film is barry egan and paul thomas anderson gives us a movie like only he can deliver.
