(7.5 Out of 10) Witchfinder General (1968) showcases perhaps Vincent Price's best straight performance and is possibly his most disturbing film. With splendid period detail and an involving plot, the film may seem a bit too mechanical in its run to the conclusion, but is very effective in its terrors.
