- one of the best PUNK albums of all time.
- I first heard this album in my best friend's car...I remember the exact moment...she was driving, smoking a cigarette, and wearing a red flannel shirt in the summer with the windows down, on the way to some concert at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin. We were so cool! lol ;) Good times, good times.
- (8.3 Out of 10) As a combination of Fugazi’s two earliest EP’s, 13 Songs, is an album that shows the band on the verge of the greatness that they would achieve with subsequent records. Lacking the future musical complexity, diverse compositions, as well as knack for utterly amazing structures and interplay, the album features some glorious scorchers ( Waiting Room, Bulldog Front) but soon feels a bit subdued and similar from song-to-song, lacking both an urgency and their later glorious skill for rousing anthems. While 13 Songs still holds up well for the most part, it worked more as a trial-and-partial error to a bright future ahead.
