  Funeral is an excellent work of art to be taken as such. The emotions that Arcade Fire throws at you here are heavier than anything you have ever felt, or ever will feel. Right from the first stroke of the piano in "Neighborhoods #1 (Tunnels)", you are captured and brought in to your own little world for the remainder of the album.
